Class of 2018 Reception - April 6 2014

Dear Princeton Alumni, Parents and Friends:
Please join us on Sunday, April 6, 2014 from 1:00 to 4:00 for our annual Spring Reception to meet and welcome the newly admitted students from our area, and their families.

We are excited to have guest speaker John Weeren, President Tilgman’s former speechwriter, to give a talk on:

Southern Exposure: From Nova Scotia to Nassau Hall
In 1994, a young Canadian archivist stumbled on a job announcement that led to his first permanent position, an American spouse, nine years as President Shirley M. Tilghman’s speechwriter, and now the directorship of Princeton Writes – a new University-wide initiative designed to enhance non-academic communication on campus. Serendipity played a part in this, but so did the nature of Princeton, where Canadians have quietly flourished (eh). Join John S. Weeren as he reflects on the place and the people who changed his life.

This year we are inviting potential Class of '18 students who have been offered admission but may not necessarily have confirmed acceptance. Accordingly, this reception is an opportunity for us to assist the students make this important decision by putting on the Tiger charm.
