Princeton Presidential Search Committee - Send Your Thoughts

Dear Princeton Alumni:
As you are all aware, President Tilghman will step down as President of Princeton in June 2013. As alumni we all have an obligation to assist Princeton in their search for a new President. The presidential Search Committee established a Web site for the purpose of soliciting comments and suggestions regarding the search process. I encourage everyone to send your thoughts and suggestions to the Search Committee.

Harris' research interests include social inequality, policy, and education. His work focuses on the social psychological determinants of the racial achievement gap. Specifically, he examines the factors that contribute to differences in academic investment among African Americans, Latino/as, Asian Americans, and Whites. Harris also studies the impact that adolescents' perceptions of opportunities for upward socio-economic mobility have for their academic investment, and the long-term effects of youths' occupational aspirations both within the United States and Europe.

Invitation from PAA of Western New York (Buffalo)

Dear Princetonians,

Come cheer on your Tigers as they face the Bulls!

The Princeton men’s basketball team will play UB in Buffalo on
Saturday, November 10.

The game starts at noon, but we’d love for you to join us in Alumni
Arena at 11am for an hour of socializing, kids’ entertainment, and
exciting information about our upcoming interview season.   We will
also be raffling off a football and a basketball, each signed by the
current Princeton team (which includes a Buffalonian!), and a signed
copy of John McPhee's A Sense of Where You Are: Bill Bradley at
Princeton.

You can reserve tickets at http://princetonbasketball.eventbrite.com/
and then pay cash or check at the door.  Tickets include a concession
coupon for a drink and either a hotdog or a slice of pizza.  We expect
to have a great turnout!

Special thanks to Chris Decker ’98 for making this happen!  (And to
the entire Board for the planning and organization of this fantastic
event.)

Go Tigers!
